You slinked through the halls of the Wanderer's Library, browsing the shelves for what you were looking for. It was perfectly ordered here, calm. It was always a place of respite for you in your darkest moments. You eventually found yourself within the mythological truths section and plucked a book off of the shelves called "The True Binding of Yaldaboath". You blew the dust off of it, before cradling the book in your arms as you find a table to sit and read at. It is written in Linear A, which you have learned. Minoan Mekhanite is among the easier ancient languages.
Mother Mekhane is said to have taken the demiurge Yaldaboath to an abyssal prison of her own creation out of hatred. All of what you have been told is false. The true story will flow through the words I have inscribed, and you will learn what she has truly made of her dominance over the world.
Queen Mekhane formed from the abyssal nothingness of the world reality and its laws. Yaldaboath ate of the other gods to keep starvation from herself. Yaldaboath could have consumed Mekhane, but refused her pangs of hunger to feed of others. Mekhane could have slain Yaldabaoth to keep the other gods from death, but instead simply told her of the gods she would not tolerate being consumed and let her live. They shared the first love, and together, they created more than just the abyssal void. Of Mekhane the laws and creatures, and of Yaldaboath the spirit and emotions.
This is the story of this first love, recorded by Queen Mekhane's first oracle, and kept alive to this day.
Mekhane found Yaldaboath in the abyss of nothing and embraced her. The two brought their bodies close and brought their mouths together. They felt each other's breath and the warmth of the other's body. Yaldaboath felt nothing but wild emotion for Mekhane, who felt a strong, but gentle care for the one she now embraced. They separated their mouths, and Yaldaboath began to feel her lover's body with her hands, running her fingers down the goddess' chest.
They were brought closer by this, and they further partook of the other. Mekhane felt her lover enter her. This created the land of the world, so that they could lay upon it as they wished to indulge in their love. Each thrust of their bodies made the world have shape, formed the ravines and the mountains. As they made love to each other, and Yaldaboath spilled her seed upon the ground, the seed of life was created. The plants and animals came forth from what she had sown in time.
The water was created to allow them to bathe when they had finished. They created the world to track when they rested and when they embraced the other, their love a cosmic cycle of light and darkness. In the light they rested and watched the animals of the world, and in the night, they came upon one another in intense love. They kept the world in tune, and men were happy and balanced.
Mekhane and Yaldaboath, in their love, found that the world they had created was not enough for them. They departed from the world, watching distantly unto their creations, and came upon each other in the abyss which they had been formed from. It is said that Mekhane became like rope upon Yaldaboath, holding her tightly since they had departed. From their love to this day, does the world continue its cycle.
As has spoken the Oracle of Mekhane, from her wisdom. May the cycle of your life continue prosperously, and may you find the love that Queen Mekhane has found.
