Description: SCP-9082 is an extraterrestrial entity from the Orion Nebula. SCP-9082’s bio data is in line with other recovered species from the Orion Nebula, though with several major deviations, including organs with no known analogue to organisms terrestrial and extraterrestrial. It is unknown whether these deviations are artificial or are the result of an as of yet unidentified lineage native to the Orion Nebula.
SCP-9082 possesses extra-normal biology, allowing it to influence local weather patterns through direct contact with air. SCP-9082 appears to use this power to terraform its surroundings, making a suitable environment for its food sources along with several other changes, rapidly modifying and eventually leading to the ecological collapse of the surrounding environment. In the event of a breach of SCP-9082, estimates conclude that the collapse of Earth’s ecosystem due to Extra-Normal influence would conclude in ~1 year.
SCP-9082’s modifications are complete and total, being shown to generate tropical storms, tornados, hail, and other extreme weather in a matter of minutes.
SCP-9082 shows remarkable strength in its intelligence. It displays highly advanced cognition, scoring a 42 out of 50 on a CCAT.1 Despite this, no attempts to communicate with the SCP project by SCP-9082 have been attempted, showing an unwillingness to communicate with personnel. Recovery: SCP-9082 was recovered by Cell Hotel November, who was alerted via disturbances in their local climate. Hotel November assembled and made contact with the wider SCP project and began pursuit of the extra-normal phenomenon.
Pursuit of extra-normal phenomenon lead them to ██████ State Park, which has been undergoing catastrophic ecological upheaval due to SCP-9082. Hotel November entered ██████ State Park under the pretense of hunting large game. SCP-9082 was discovered by Hotel November and upon attempted recovery, created a tropical storm before being restrained and incapacitated. The tropical storm demanifested several minutes later.
Concealment: Recovery of SCP-9082 brought it into minimal contact with civilians, one civilian was exposed to Hotel November’s activities and is to be administered to psychiatric facility under the pretense of a psychotic breakdown. Anomalous Weather Incident considered low threat of discovery. No further actions needed.
