Penza Oblast, Russian Federation

The Plague Doctor was blinded by the light.

He had been taken from his cozy little cell in Site-19 and put in several different vehicles against his will.

First a plane. The few glances he managed to steal through the window indicated they had to cross an ocean.

After they landed, he was placed onto a train. The carriage he was inside wasn't all that bad, all things considered.

Finally, he was placed in the back of a van. With the room service he was previously given, he thought they could've at least splurged to get him a lamp back here. Compared to the pitch darkness he was in, the sunlight at their destination was not kind to his eyes.

Once he could see again, he noticed several armed guards surrounding a researcher.

"Welcome to Site-7, SCP-049." The researcher gestured for him to follow.

"RUPNKZ-Site-7, not to be confused with RAISA-Site-7, is the primary containment facility for the Russian branch of the Foundation, much like how 19 is the main site for the English branch." The researcher slipped his keycard into a door scanner. "As you know, you're here as a reward for your recent good behavior and because we believe you can help us with one of our SCP objects."

He began to lead the Doctor into what appeared to be the entrance to a containment chamber. "The object in question, SCP-1—" The researcher was cut off by a piercing alarm echoing throughout the facility.

One of the guards ran towards the door they just entered. "Containment breach. We need to get you to safety." Everyone besides SCP-049 rushed out of the room, leaving him standing by himself.

He glanced around for a moment. "Pretty lax security they have here." He was about to exit as well before he noticed something glitter on a desk.

He walked over and picked up a bracelet. He read over a conveniently placed printed copy of its documentation and decided to put it on. He winced for a moment as it shot 12 probes into his body before the pain subsided. He chuckled and left the room.

After wandering around the hallways, he ran into a guard who ordered him to stop and put his hands up. The Plague Doctor laughed and advanced towards the man, who opened fire. As the rain of bullets approached the Doctor, his bracelet's effects activated, forming a red halo around him that vaporized the incoming bullets. Once he got within 10 meters of the still-firing guard, the bracelet shot a probe into the man's heart, killing him.

After some more exploration, he came across the exit. Now that he was free, he immediately began planning the next steps he would take to destroy the Pestilance. The Foundation had certainly attempted to help him with his research, but being contained took away the free will that he needed, he required to rid the world of this plague. Perhaps he would visit a nearby town and cure anyone there with the Pestilance.

Unfortunately, that plan went on hold as he watched several nuclear missiles fly towards his position. He barely had time to scream before everything went pure white.
