CONfidential

CONfidential is a contest centered around Confidentiality.
Users will sign up within the allotted time period, and then be notified through Wikidot DMs about the specific rules their articles have to follow along side the posting period. Rules will be generally non-restrictive (with some or many possible to meet incidentally in any random article). Some examples of possible rules include: entrant specific code words that must be included, css elements that must be included, the word "personnel" appearing at least 2 times, including a word count, Not including a word count, and so on.
Any user who fails to follow the ruleset is disqualified.
Any user who breaks Confidentiality is disqualified.
What "Breaking Confidentiality" amounts to will be up to group managing the contest. The easiest way to break confidentiality is to publicly reveal that you're participating in the contest. Users will only be notified when the results go up, and the evidence of them breaking confidentiality is revealed.
Optional Element: Nonparticipants can send their guesses at the ruleset to the contests team, with articles linked that are informing that ruleset, and the closest nonparticipant to the ruleset gets a shoutout on the results page.

People tend to harp on contests and fests taking up a lot of space in the wiki as they're being run, so I've been wondering what would be possible if you designed towards the opposite of that- a contest where participation and reader engagement is entirely opt in. It's obviously more of a lighthearted contest from the fact that it has silly requirements in articles and you can be disqualified for giving up that you're a participant, so It basically just becomes a fun little minigame for the Authors that are in it and any Reader who wants to commit to sussing out those participating authors.
I'm also very intrigued by the idea of a "ruleset contest" where participants have requirements for actual content that must be included within them to qualify. I think this is a fun way to "soft" theme an event, and as mentioned in the paragraph above, to create a fun minigame while reading of figuring out how the ruleset was creatively incorporated and worked around.
The idea for this stemmed of another idea i had for a "BureauCon" where every element of participation was drawn out with forms and stuff: voting (in a way that was recognized for winning the contest) required filling out a form, submitting an article required filling out a form (and had restrictions with required and banned content) and so on, but even something a bit less intense, just having a set of restrictions (potentially as trade offs to get more points?) could be a cool way to structure a more for-fun contest.
