Special Containment Procedures: Foundation agents embedded within hospitals with SCP-LXXX-A instances are to retrieve the SCP-LXXX-A instance and transfer its nametag to a similar-looking newborn.
Retrieved SCP-LXXX-A are to be brought to Site-470 for initial analysis and categorization before transfer to Reliquary Area-27ⓘSecure Facility Dossier: Reliquary Area-27Area-27 is an underground facility beneath the Saint Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica. Area-27 serves as both the headquarters for the Department of Tactical Theology and as emergency quartering in the case of a large-scale K-Class Scenario. The site is also used to develop theological weaponry and to contain religiously-orientated anomalies.-. Should the SCP-LXXX-A instance's anomalous effects remanifest prior to transfer, the instance is to stay at Site-470 and returned to SCP-LXXX-α.
Description: SCP-LXXX refers to a phenomenon in Southern New Jersey and Western Pennsylvania1 in which newborn babies, hereafter referred to as SCP-LXXX-A instances, will begin spontaneous prayer.
SCP-LXXX-A's instances' prayers will only begin while no other human is within the room. Once alone, they will begin their prayer, hereafter referred to as SCP-LXXX-B. SCP-LXXX-B is always the same. It is in a previously unknown language. Translation efforts have revealed that SCP-LXXX-B's language is in no known language family. Approximately 23% of SCP-LXXX-B has been translated so far, and seemingly involves thanking a previously unknown god-like entity, hereafter referred to as SCP-LXXX-α, for granting them existence in this universe and for granting them the "privilege to protect it".
During SCP-LXXX-B, objects surrounding the chanting SCP-LXXX-A instance will begin glowing blue and levitating a distance between 10 and 17 centimeters from the surface it was previously on. Upon the conclusion of SCP-LXXX-B, the objects it affected will flash a bright blue light before falling back to the floor. Analysis of these objects indicates that, while extremely similar, they were altered during SCP-LXXX-B.
Oh. Someone's here. Interesting.
Addendum 1:
On July 8th, 1996, the first SCP-LXXX-A instance was discovered by the Foundation. The following is a transcription of that event.
BEGIN LOG
Acting Site Director Anne Tokazewski is sitting at her desk. She appears to be intently reading some documentation.
After a few moments, someone knocks on her office door. They knock once, followed by a pause, then four times in quick succession, followed by a slightly longer pause and two more knocks.
Tokazewski: Come in!
The door opens and Dr. Sherlock enters the office holding a baby.
Tokazewski frowns.
Tokazewski: Uh—
Sherlock: Hold on, let me explain. This is not my baby.
Tokazewski blinks twice.
Tokazewski: That makes whatever this is sound so much worse. You realize this, right?
Sherlock: It's Jill's baby. She brought him in after he started, actually hold on—
Sherlock places the baby on the desk before grabbing a camcorder from his pocket. Tokazewski looks at the baby for a moment before picking it up.
Sherlock: She recorded this happening.
Sherlock turns the camcorder's video player to face Tokazewski and plays the tape. The video features an SCP-LXXX-A instance sitting cross-legged and staring forward while chanting. A woman's voice frantically tries to get the SCP-LXXX-A instance's attention as several objects float nearby.
Tokazewski looks down at the baby for a moment before placing it back on the desk.
Sherlock: Then she rushed over here with him.
Sherlock looks at the floor for a moment before returning his gaze to Tokazewski.
Sherlock: Hey, uh, could this have anything to do with that… thing… down there?
Tokazewski quickly snaps her head towards Sherlock, eyes widened.
Tokazewski: Shut!
Tokazewski: We don't talk about that thing, remember?
Sherlock: Well yeah, but Jill's really worried so I was just looking for something to—
Tokazewski: To what, tell her? No one's supposed to know about it.
Tokazewski aligns the papers on her desk.
Tokazewski: This meeting is adjourned. Take the baby with you. We'll figure something out.
Tokazewski sternly looks at Sherlock as he silently picks up the SCP-LXXX-A instance and leaves.

Addendum 2:
A shame, isn't it?
They never even got a chance to finish this.
Memories completely wiped before they could even type a single word into the second addendum.
Yet, you're here. Somehow.
I know you're smart enough to figure out that you aren't supposed to be here. You got here after all.
I think you could be of use to me. Just take a quick look at this for me.

Just close your eyes for me. Give in to the slumber.
